Induction into the ‘Hall of Fame’ at the president’s office

Hon. Rhoda Kalema was recognized at the launch of the Hall of Fame at the Office of the President for her leading role in women emancipation including the political development of Uganda together with Hon Joyce Mpanga who gave a moving and inspiring speech on behalf of the medalists at the ceremony.

Read more about their inspiring journeys in “My Life is But Weaving” and “It’s a Pity she is not a Boy!”

It was lovely to also see Hon. Rhoda Kalema in a photo with her late husband Hon William Wilberforce Kalema who was a former minister in the first government after Independence.

It was truly inspiring to also see her late father, Owekitibwa Martin Luther Nsibirwa who was the former Katikiro Prime Minister of Buganda Kingdom; and former Chief Justice Wako Wambuzi on the wall of fame.

Thank you very much to Gloria Mwenge and all the members of the Chancery/Presidential Awards committee for honoring our leaders in this very special way.
